Scania France has integrated since 7th January 2005 GST PLATEFORME EUROPEENNE’s garage.

« We have been working for several months to concentrate ourselves on our core business – logistics and transports – and then to associate specialist’s skills for maintenance and repairing of our fleet of vehicles; that aim is now reached » underlines Carmelo Sgro, CEO of GST.

The agreement ratified between Gst and Scania states especially the taking back of Gst’mechanics, tools and spare parts.

Scania is now in charge to follow 180 trucks and almost 100 trailers. 70 trucks were acquired since 2004 under a long time rent contract with an included offer about maintenance, tyres and legal exams. Vehicles acquired before 2004 have a maintenance & reparation contract or - for the eldest – are selectively maintained and repaired.

A young, modern and well-maintained fleet is one of the major tools which enable GST to satisfy its customers.
 

GERVEX-SGRO TRANSPORTS ESPAÑA validates its ISO 9001 :2000 certificate.

GST Spain succeeded into ISO 9001 certificate after two days of audit at GST Barcelona and GST Valencia.

The process had started on December 2003 and 12 months were enough to formalize GST Spain’s own Quality System, for a company that had already a confirmed quality culture.

The certificate is on “National and International Road Transport and Logistics”, two main activity of GST Spain developed towards major customers of Automotive branch.

On the Group scale, all the locations (except Milano) are now ISO 9001:2000 certified.

Scionzier headquarters (FR74) and Paris agency (FR93) have validated on 18 and 19th May the continuation of their ISO 9001 certificate, following an audit from BVQI on both locations.

“Animated system, efficient and in accordance with customers requests” were the qualities identified during that audit.

On the Group scale, GST Spain Barcelona (ES08) and Valencia (ES46) have also initiated a process in way to obtain the ISO 9001 certificate within the end of 2004, that will bring almost the whole GST Group to be quality certified.

Re-deployment of GST Thaon agency business towards GST Scionzier and Atessa

GST PlateForme Europeenne has closed its agency located at Thaon les Vosges with effect from 15 March 2004.

Since its creation in September 2000, this agency allowed GST’s group to develop business relations with the major car component manufacturer Honeywell, especially its Garrett Engine Boosting Systems department.

As a new contract was concluded on 01-01-2004 with Garrett Engine Boosting Systems, GST’s group can now focus its business and operational projects at Scionzier (74-FR) and Atessa (66-IT), and then, proceeds to significant cost optimizations.

From 02/02/2004 onwards, the new address of GST ITALIA S.r.l. is:

GST - LA FLECHE LAVALLOISE ISO 9001 Certified.

Further Scionzier headquarters (FR74), Paris (FR93) and Thaon (FR88) agencies, Atessa (IT66), GST – LA FLECHE LAVALLOISE obtained the ISO 9001 certificate on 11th December 2003, after 10 month of implementation.

Gst Spain Barcelona (ES08) and Valencia (ES46) and the French agency at Sarreguemines (FR57) are the next locations to be certified, with a focus for 2004.

On a middle term period, all the GST locations will be able to show that precious quality distinction.

GST at the box-office

This first film from Siegfried Alnoy has been made in February 2002 in GST’s headquarters at Scionzier and in Salomon’s office at Annecy. With Daniel Ceccaldi and Catherine Mouchet especially, this film tells about the evolution and moodiness of a young woman in her job.

During 6 days, all GST’s staff lived within the “ready, …action !” rythm, closed doors, phones off, discussions prohibited…

A very hard pressure for a staff in daily relation with the customers… but such an experience!

GST LOGISTICA ITALIA certified ISO 9001 : 2000


The Italian branch of GST has successfully obtained its first official ISO 9001 2000 certification.

12 months after its launch, the process reached its objective quickly, placing GST LOGISTICA ITALIA at the forefront of Italian transport and logistics companies.

GST LOGISTICA ITALIA’s experience in storage logistics will be a rich source of expertise for the other sites .

CONTINENTAL entrusts logistics management to GST


In partnership with GST’s parent company Thiel Logistik, as well as its sister company Quehenberger, current suppliers to Continental in Germany, GST has established a dedicated logistics centre within the Sarreguemines CONTINENTAL factory.

As of May 2003, over 40 Continental staff have joined GST’s ranks, in charge of managing day-to-day logistics of the Continental warehouse (preparing customer orders etc …).

This is a great example of service externalisation and partnership within the Group, which GST will build on in the future.

GST PLATEFORME EUROPEENNE on the road to ISO 9001 : 2000

Certified ISO 9002 since 1997, GST progressed after several days to the 2000 version of ISO 9001 in multi-site auditing (Scionzier, Thaon les Vosges and Paris), in terms of logistics and goods transport by road.

The auditors judged that the « quality system was well established, adapted to the needs of its users and to its environment » , no anomalies having been detected.

An encouraging result for a company in constant evolution over many years in terms of professional activity, technology and domains of expertise.

GST LOGISTICA ITALIA opens a new dedicated logistics warehouse in Livorno.

Since 1999, GST LOGISTICA ITALIA has been working hand-in-hand with one of its major customers Honeywell Garrett Atessa, and is currently broadening its customer services with the establishment of a new dedicated logistics warehouse in Pierburg Livorno.

Assembling, preparing customer orders and cleaning are services now being offered by this dynamic branch to its customers.

GST España opens new facilities in Valencia

Valencia was chosen by the newly established agency as the location for its new facilities, providing logistics management services not only for a major local parts manufacturer but also in the future for transport flow in Spain on the South-North and East-West axes, which the agency will be in charge of developing.

The Spanish economy is once again in a dynamic phase – it is up to GST España to make the most of the current situation thanks to its strategic choice of location!
